FAQ
A few things to know before you enquire.
Collaboration
How can I share my work with artmotri?
Use the artist collaboration form to introduce your practice and include a portfolio link and a short message.
What should I include?
Include a short introduction, a portfolio that represents your work, and an email address where we can contact you. Please share links rather than large files.
Does a submission confirm a collaboration?
The form is an introduction. Any proposed collaboration, its scope and next steps are discussed separately.
Delivery
Can a work be delivered to my location?
Tell us which work interests you and the destination city and country. We will confirm whether delivery can be arranged for that work.
How much will delivery cost?
Packing and delivery costs are confirmed case by case, based on the work and destination. Request a quote as part of your enquiry.
When will the artwork arrive?
Timing depends on the work, packing requirements and destination. Ask for an estimated schedule; the details need to be confirmed before arrangements are made.
Collecting Art
How do I enquire about a work?
Open the artwork page and select Enquire, or use Contact with the artist's name and work title. We can then confirm availability, price and relevant details.
Why aren't prices shown?
Works are offered by enquiry. Availability and price are confirmed individually for the work you select.
Can I ask about several works?
Yes. Share the artists and titles you are considering, what interests you, and the size of your space. Ask for the details you need to compare them before deciding.
Artwork Details
How should I read the dimensions?
Dimensions follow the artist's supplied catalog. Where the order is not specified, ask us to confirm width and height, and whether a measurement includes a frame.
Is a frame included?
Framing details are confirmed individually. Please ask whether a frame is included and for the overall dimensions of the work.
What other information can I request?
Ask about materials, year, condition, signature and any documentation available for the specific work. Confirmed details will be distinguished from information that still needs checking.
Care & Display
Where should I display a painting?
Choose a position away from direct sunlight, heat sources and damp areas. Suitable conditions depend on the materials and condition of the work; ask for guidance for the piece you select.
How should I clean a painting?
Do not apply water, solvents or household cleaners to the painted surface. For dirt, flaking or damage, consult a qualified paintings conservator.
What should I check before hanging a work?
Confirm the overall dimensions, weight and hanging method. Use fixings suited to the work and wall, and seek professional installation help when needed.
Still have a question?
